How to Remove and Refit the MG ZR / Rover 25 Front Grille
Please note, I have a Face Off Grille fitted, however, instructions to remove the original grille are exactly the same.
Step 1
Open the bonnet and using the phillips screw driver unscrew the screws from the two clips holding the grille on.Step 2
Once the screws are removed, the plug that they screw into will be left. This needs to be removed, or slightly pulled up at least. You may require the small flat head screw driver to prise them up, be careful not to snap them though.Step 3
When the plugs are raised or removed, the grille should just tilt forward and come away from the bumper. If it does not, as with my original grille, you may require a bit more force as the lower clips will be catching on the bumper. If at all possible it is best to try and file down the edge (of the grille) that is catching. When the grille is removed it the bumper will look like this. In the second image the reverse side of the plug can be seen, showing how it works.
