How to Remove and Refit Rover 25 / MG ZR / Rover 200 Side Repeaters
Step 1
To remove the side repeaters you just need to push them, parallel to the panel, towards the front of the car. This will then allow the end furthest from the front of the car to pull out, giving sufficient room to angle the other end out as well.
The side repeater then simply pulls out. As pointed out by Dr. Buck, the drivers side will act as described above, the passenger side will perform in the opposite manner, i.e. slides towards the rear of the car.
Step 2
To refit, offer up the side repeater to the hole in the fender, angle it slightly and compress the spring, then push the other side in.It should just snap itself into place. Job done.

Just a note; The driver's side pushes towards the front of the car, the passenger side towards the rear.
ReplyDeleteThanks for pointing that out Dr.Buck, I have updated the guide accordingly.
ReplyDeleteWorks for RV8s as well. Shame that don't mention it in the W/S manual. Could have save me hours! Thanks again for the tip
